I’ve had a love of working with children from a young age. I did my babysitters course as soon as I was old enough to get it and began babysitting kids in my neighborhood shortly after! I got my first job in a daycare in 2010 and knew it was what I wanted to be doing. I began working in an infant program in Winnipeg and fell in love with working with infants and toddlers.
In my spare time I love to crochet, be outside hiking, visiting the mountains and the ocean and spending time with my family.
My name is Divjot Kaur (Simmi) . I am from India and I have been in Canada for 5 years. I love being around children and seeing the world through their eyes. I also believe that early childhood is the most magical phase of life and being educators we can make it more beautiful by loving and caring for children unconditionally. When I am not working I like to video chat with my parents, read books and volunteer in old age home care centers.

In 2016 I completed the Early Childhood Education Level II course at Sask Polytechnic. I am a family oriented person: you will always find me with my family or close friends. I have a dog named Thor who is like my child. He is as active as I am: we spend every Saturday at the dog park. In the summer, I spend most of my weekends at Memorial Lake. I have a great appreciation for nature and all it has to offer. I chose Early Childhood Education as my career because I have a passion for working with young children, to help them become the best that they can be. I believe that children are capable and competent learners and they deserve the best opportunities to grow and discover who they are and the world around them. I am honored that I get to help them along their journey.

My name is Anna and I'm from Vietnam. I came to Canada 2 years ago and just graduated from SIAST last year. Since I was a high school student, I spent lots of time volunteering in different childcare centres. Therefore, I chose to attend ECE course when I came here. I feel so lucky to be a part of PCDC family as well as working with all children here. I believe each child is unique and they all deserve to express themselves by their own ways. As an educator, I really enjoy being a facilitator in their learning process and seeing them grow up every day.
