Hi, my name is Ting Yang. I’ve finished my ECE Certificate courses last summer from Saskatchewan Polytechnic and graduated with ECE Level II. I think I’m lucky to get the position in PCDC soon after my graduation and it’s an amazing daycare centre. I’ve learned a lot from other educators and they keep helping me gain experience since I started to do my practicum here. Early years are very important for a child and I’m glad that I can make a difference to their life by putting what I’ve learn in class into practice. In my spare time, I love to watch movies and listen to classic music while I’m cooking.

I have been interested in Education since I was a little girl. I started to learn some philosophy of Early Childhood Education five years ago when I knew I was going to be a mom. I took classes about Positive Discipline from North America four years ago and was attracted by it so much that I quit my job and started to give lectures and spread their philosophy in my country. After I came to Canada, I chose to learn ECE systematically and finished my Level II Certificate courses in Early Childhood Education and First Aid/AED certification courses last year. Since September 2018, I am lucky to have my role at PCDC, as both a parent and an ECE, and do something I am really interested in.
